1. What is refrigerator defrost heater?
The refrigerator defrosting heater is actually a heating body, and the heating body is actually a pure black body material, which has the characteristics of rapid heating, relatively small thermal hysteresis, very uniform heating, long heat radiation transfer distance and fast heat exchange speed, etc. The heating tube has an inner layer and an outer layer tube, and the inner layer tube will be equipped with a heating wire.
2. How does refrigerator defrost work?
Generally, after the previous defrosting is completed, the gray line of the defrost timer contact and the orange line of the contact will be connected, and the timer, the compressor and the fan will run at the same time. The defrost timer and the defrost heater are connected in series, but because the internal resistance of the defrost timer is relatively large, the internal resistance of the defrost heater will be relatively small, so most of the voltage will be added to the defrost timer, The heat generated by the defrost heater will be very small. When the defrost timer and the compressor are running at the same time and the accumulative total reaches 8 hours, the timer’s contact gray line and the contact orange line are connected. The defrost heater will be directly powered on by the fuse and the defrost switch to defrost. At this time, the defrost motor is short-circuited by the defrost temperature control switch, and the defrost timer will stop running. When the temperature of the evaporator surface rises to 10-16°C after the accumulated frost is melted, the contact of the defrost temperature control switch disconnects the defrost circuit, and the defrost timer starts to run. After running for about 5 minutes, the gray line of the contact is connected with the orange line of the contact, which completes an automatic defrosting process. The compressor and fan start to run and cool again. Then, when the temperature of the evaporator drops to the reset temperature of the defrosting temperature control switch, the temperature control switch is closed and the defrosting heater is connected to make new preparations for the next defrosting.
