Temperature control switch is divided into mechanical and electronic.
Electronic temperature control switch generally uses thermistor (NTC) as the temperature sensing head, the resistance value of thermistor changes with the temperature, the thermal signal into electrical signal. This change passes through the CPU, producing an output control signal that pushes the control element to action. The mechanical temperature control switch is the use of bimetallic sheet or temperature medium (such as kerosene or glycerin) and the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, the temperature change into mechanical force, to promote the temperature control switch control mechanism action.
Mechanical temperature switch is divided into bimetallic temperature switch and liquid expansion temperature controller.

Classification
According to the temperature control switch is affected by temperature and current, it is divided into over temperature protection type and over temperature protection type, motor protector is usually over temperature and over current protection type.
According to the operating temperature of the temperature control switch and the return difference of the reset temperature (also called temperature difference or temperature amplitude), it is divided into protection type and constant temperature type. The temperature difference of the protective temperature control switch is usually 15 ℃ to 45℃. The temperature difference of the thermostat is usually controlled within 10 ℃. There are slow-moving thermostats (temperature difference within 2℃) and fast-moving thermostats (temperature difference between 2 and 10 ℃).
