Working Principle
The NTC sensor in your washing machine connects to the heater element, which ensures the washer is at the correct temperature whilst on a cycle.
How a NTC Sensor works on a washing machine ?
A thermistor is installed as a temperature sensor, which ensures the washer is at the correct temperature whilst on a cycle. Such a temperature sensor is fixed on the heating element itself. The principle of its operation is not based on the mechanical operation of the elements, but on the change in resistance when the water is heated to the desired temperature. The temperature is controlled by the PCB by means of a NTC temperature sensor incorporated in the heating element when testing it the Resistance drops as the temperature rises.
