Working Principle of the Snap Action Bimetallic Thermostat:

  The snap action bimetallic thermostat is a kind of using bimetal disc after the fixed temperature as a heat-sensitive reaction element of the component, when the temperature of the main part of the product increases or decreases, the heat generated is transferred to the bimetal disc, to achieve the action of the bimetal disc rapid action, through the mechanism to disconnect or close the contact, to achieve the purpose of connecting or disconnecting the circuit, so as to control the circuit.

  The disc of bimetallic material acts as a temperature-sensing element (using the cover to transfer heat). When the temperature rises (or falls) to the operating temperature, it produces a sudden jump action. The action is transmitted by the ceramic action rod to the elastic part – the moving contact bracket. The moving contact and the fixed contact are riveted respectively on the moving contact bracket and the horn. After the moving contact bracket is pushed by the action rod, the moving contact and the fixed contact are separated, so as to disconnect the circuit. When the temperature drops to the disc bimetal sheet to recover the temperature, the bimetal instantly recovers its original shape, the pressure placed on the action rod is eliminated, and the moving and fixed contacts are restored.
